What if we had a Celebrating Homeschooling Day?

If you are homeschooling you will probably relate with me when I say that January is a hard month to go through for homeschooling.  The fun of the holidays is finished, kids are NOT at all in the mood of doing school ( they just want to play with the new Lego they got for Christmas and they miss the fun with the cousins) and mommy it tired …You just can’t wait for the days to be longer the  sunshine to come back and January to be done and over with.  Did you ever feel  what homeschool moms call the “ homeschool slump”?  If yes did you came up with ideas and plans to counter this down time ? Or did you just wait patiently hoping the better and sunny days would come fast ?

A few weeks ago I was feeling pretty tired , and a bit discouraged about how our schooldays were going, or should I say  how  they were not going anywhere… I knew we had to do something about it. Praying for our school time, I was reminded of all the things I had to be thankful for and all the blessings of being able to educate my children at home. That gave me the idea of celebrating these blessings with the children and really focus on the advantages that school at home gives us.

As I was pondering on this thing  I met some other blogging moms on line and I discovered I was not alone to experience the “homeschool slump”… great feeling to know others can relate. But it gets even better if you can exchange tips and  encourage each other. That’s how I got the privilege to write a guest  blog post on “ the outmatched mama “ blog,  on  how as a family we conquered the” Homeschool slump” by “celebrating our homeschooling”. If you want to know how we celebrated and get  fun and concrete ideas on how to plan your own celebration read on by clicking  HERE
